CM 11 Nightlies Pop Up for the T Mobile Sprint Verizon and International LTE Variant of the Galaxy Note 3

CyanogenMod-630x422

Right now we really have no idea when Android 4.4 KitKat is headed to the Galaxy Note 3, although it did start rolling out yesterday in other parts of the world. But as far as the US is concerned, it probably won’t be here for a few more months thanks to the carriers wanting to certify the update first. But that’s where CyanogenMod comes in.

On Wednesday, they started rolling out CyanogenMod 11 nightlies for the T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and International LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Now remember that these are nightlies, so there’s bound to be some bugs in there, which their normally are in CyanogenMod nightlies, even months after a new Android release. These ROMs for these variants of the Galaxy Note 3 weigh in at about 208MB in size. Also remember that you’ll need to download the newest version of Gapps to flash along with the CyanogenMod 11 build, or you’ll boot up without the Play Store, or anything Google related really.

Remember you’ll need to be rooted with a custom recovery installed to flash these builds of CM 11. For those regular flashers, you know how it goes down. For those that are new, all you’ll need to do is download the ROM, and Gapps, place them on your device. Then reboot into recovery and wipe your data, then flash the CM11 ROM, then Gapps, and reboot. But be patient as the reboot is going to take longer than usual, because the device needs to rebuild the cache and such. So don’t panic.

What’s interesting here is that the international GSM and AT&T variant of the Galaxy Note 3 are absent from being supported for CM 11 right now. That’s probably due to the Exynos chip in the international version and the locked down bootloader on AT&T. But hopefully we’ll see those pop up very soon. How many of you are going to give CyanogenMod 11 a try on your Galaxy Note 3?
